The Marshall Monitor headphone pair is a victory of style, for sure, but there’s also plenty of substance here in the form of deep, rich bass and crisp highs.

How Good?

While we weren’t bowled over by Marshall Monitor’s sound, we wouldn’t kick it out of bed in the morning, either. There were some balance issues between the dainty upper floor, and the brazen bass, but overall the headset was a fairly solid performer.

With an iconic design and quality overall sound, the Monitor Bluetooth are impressive headphones for their price, though the lack of bass and slightly too-crisp treble may put some off.

+ PROS: Crisp, clear sonics, Easy setup, Impressive overall sound for price range
    - CONS: Treble is almost too sharp, Not for fans of heavy bass

The Marshall Monitor headphones are the brand’s latest amp-styled cans

+ PROS: Compact, Solidly built, Punchy sound
    - CONS: Aggressive folding mechanism, Not as loud as Marshall Majors

I adore these freaking things!! The comfort of these headphones was the big take away for me. Most over the ear headphones make my ears feel cramped or hot. But these fit just right and aren’t too hard, soft or tight. I wear them for hours on end no problem.

These are the best headphones you can buy for the money. The sound of these blows BOSE out of the water. They have the deepest bass out of all over the ear headphones I have tried.

Picked up a Marshall Monitor Headphone over at CES 2015 after a very impressive demo into my new iPhone 6 Plus. Nice solid build, tactile feel, with quality Mic & Cord … plus top notch packaging. I have to say those Marshall Kats sure did their homework.

Awesome!!! Great sound. I use them with my phone, computer, and guitar amp. They make great headphones for guitar amps with a headphone out. Dual left and right input is very convenient, great feature.

They look and feel great, good quality headphones. However I felt that the sound they produced was underwhelming. It was hardly different from my inexpensive iPhone earbuds. The only advantage being that when I’m walking down the street the music isn’t drowned out by traffic.

I’m not what you would necessarily call an audiophile, but I do know a good pair of headphones when I hear them. For the price, these headphones can’t really be beat. I needed a pair of headphones that would sound good, block out outside noise, and wouldn’t disturb those around me while I was…

I gave this to my son for Christmas and he was so surprised as well as pleased. The Marshall brand is well known to musicians as well as aspiring musicians such as my son. I listened to music through the headphones and was amazed at the quality and it will make you not want to listen to music any…

Very good headphones great style from marshall.they are fairly light and are comfortable for most people,But if you have bigger ears they will not fit entirely inside the earcup. With that being said the protein leather earcups are very soft so if it touches your ear it’s no big deal.the sound…

Great sound, but what would you expect from a company with the long history such as Marshall. I like my music a little brighter so I decided to remove the FTF felt which gives a little more treble. Definitely glad I went we these at this price point instead of the Bose or the Beats.

I’ve tried several over the ear head phones and could never find any I could wear for any length of time. Until now. These are comfortable and not to tight. They are easily adjustable. I like the fact you can switch sides with the cord.

These are excellent cans for monitoring and mixing. I prefer the sound with the filters removed. Across the frequency spectrum of your mix you’ll be able to make great mixing decisions with these. I do most of my mixing through monitors but I constantly check and reference against multiple sources.

Marshall checks the boxes required for a set of headphones to be worthy of your time. However, the lack of premium build materials and volume controls make the high asking price a little unreasonable.

No other set of cans look as provocative as the Marshall Monitor. Between its premium materials, fantastic design, versatile functionality and solid performance, these headphones warrant serious consideration.

+ PROS: Bite-the-back-of-your-hand good looks, Exceptionally functional design, Can share music, Competitively priced
    - CONS: Heavy, Only comes with one cable, Carry case is a satchel

I spent a ridiculous amount of time researching trying to find headphones that weren’t Beats, (I hardly listen to bass heavy music and I’m not a huge fan of the brand) and I decided to try these.

Bought as an xmas present for the wife so she can listen to music whilst commuting on the train all week. She’s really pleased with them, and as we all know; if she’s happy, I’m happy. The headphones look and sound great. I’ll probably end up buying myself a pair at some point in the future 🙂

At $118?!?!?! these cans are a steal! Built sturdy and collapsable for easy safekeeping. Sound is well balanced and soundstage is wide for a closed ear pair. I prefer the FTF on, the highs are at almost piercing level without them, but to each their own, nice that Marshall brought that choice to the…

I bought these for my husband for Christmas- he’s a music purist and quite picky about sound quality but these were a HIT! I am wife of the year. These headphones have a remarkable sound. My husband mostly listens to soundtracks, classical, and any music other than metal and hip hop.

+ PROS: Powerful, clean audio performance with deep bass response. Removable audio filters for personal audio preference?warmer or brighter. Detachable cable has inline remote, microphone, can be attached to either ear cup. Very comfortable design.

I bought these because I accidentally ripped the jack out of my Marshall Majors. Although a little more pricey I like that these fit entirely around the ear. The main reason I bought this pair was for the removable jack as I’ve ruined 5 pairs of nice headphones now from a busted jack.

The name may imply a flat sound, but Marshall’s “Monitor” breed of headphones is anything but flat, pushing out heavier bass, which pulls out in front of the mids and highs in most tracks.

+ PROS: A muso friendly style: it’s like you’re wearing an amp… on your head, Loads of volume, Really dynamic and impacting sound, Removable “Felt Treble Filter” to change the profile of the sound, Corded cable, Headphones fold up quickly by pushing into the shape of the headband, Extra 3.5mm jack allows...
    - CONS: Bass overpowers lows and mids, Cups don’t rotate or move much in positions, Only one cable in the box
